AI Influencer: Spain's first AI model that resembles a human, Aitana, earns over 10,000 euros per month.
Because AI-generated models and "influencers" can be managed more precisely and are much easier to deal with, marketing companies are increasingly relying on them. But there's also a lot of criticism aimed at models created by AI. Your favorite influencer may soon lose their job if artificial intelligence and advertising companies get their way. In a few years, influencer marketing might drastically change as a result of AI-generated models. Consider Aitana, Spain's first AI model, to get an idea of how much money agencies can make with AI-generated models.
Aitana, a 25-year-old Barcelona native with pink hair who was introduced by the Spanish design firm The Clueless, has grown to become a well-known influencer with over 121,000 Instagram followers and a successful profession that earns her up to €10,000 per month in endorsements. The agency wanted a model that could be more dependable and not be affected by the problems that come with using human influencers, which is why they created Aitana. The creator of The Clueless, Rubén Cruz, clarified that Aitana's role is to act as a role model for companies that collaborate with the agency.
Once a week, the agency staff members meet together to plan Aitana's lifestyle. They determine her weekly itinerary, the locations she will visit, and the pictures she will post for her devoted fan following. However, there aren't any customary photo sessions or outfit changes. Instead, a group of AI and design experts develop scenarios in Photoshop so the model may virtually spend weekends in cities like Madrid.
"Since Aitana is a non-living entity, we needed to make her more relatable to her audience. Rubén Cruz, the founder of the firm and her designer, adds, "We had to weave a narrative."
